
Studio Kshan was founded in 2022 by Han Kiang Siew, who is trained in architecture and has been actively engaged in art and design practice for the past two decades. Prior to his current role as an independent designer and spatial design educator, he spent his formative years practicing at Kay Ngee Tan Architects and was the project architect/ designer for the Singapore Pavilion at World Expo Shanghai and Page One Bookstore at Vivocity Singapore, which was awarded the President’s Design Award.
Kiang Siew has a diverse range of interests, extending from architecture and spatial design to furniture design and the arts. This has given him a unique perspective to his work, where art and design interweave. His works cover a wide range of programmes and scales, including architecture, public space, interiors, exhibitions, furniture design, and installation art. Over the years, he has won several Furniture Design Awards and had the opportunity to participate in various art projects that engage the community.
